NEW POSTAGE RATES - JANUARY 22, 2012 - DELAYED - Since the site was down most of last week and customers were not able to place orders, we've decided to delay the postage rate increase by one week.  New rates start Monday, January 30.

DON'T BE DECEIVED! - Another license plate website has bought the name 'theplatedepot.com', which redirects you to his website.  We have the same plates at usually half the cost, along with thousands of plates his site doesn't have.  Always type www.platedepot.com (without the 'the') to ensure you get the best prices and selection!  (Or better yet, just bookmark us).

CURIOUS ABOUT YOUR ORDER STATUS?  SIMPLY LOG IN TO YOUR ACCOUNT AND SELECT 'YOUR ACCOUNT'.  WE UPDATE ORDER STATUS DAILY.

TO SEARCH FOR PLATES ON THIS SITE: Simply enter what you're looking for in the SEARCH box in the upper right corner.  Some popular searches are:

• • OPTIONAL - finds all types of optional plates.  You may also key in specific types (e.g. Educational, Wildlife, etc.)
  • NONPASS (one word) - finds all types of non-passenger plates.  You may also key in specific types (e.g. Trailer, Truck, Dealer, etc.)
  • MOTORCYCLE - finds motorcycle plates (duh!)
  • (YEAR) - enter a four-digit year (e.g. 1970, not the word "year") to find plates from that year

ADVANCED SEARCHES - To find more refined searches such as Iowa Dealer plates, select  'Advanced Search' in the upper right corner.  Enter 'Dealer' , and select 'Iowa' under the category list.

NEWLY LISTED PLATES are listed first on each page, but you can resort the listings by name or price if you choose.

RESTOCKED PLATES are not shown on the homepage as new plates are.  Out of stock plates are constantly being restocked, so if you cannot find the plate you want now, try back - you might find it later.

ORDERING PROBLEMS - If you experience problems ordering, please email or call.  We'll get them straightened out.  Contact information can be found above.

DON'T LET SOMEONE ELSE GET YOUR PLATE!  If you're paying by mail, please send payment so we receive it within 2 weeks.  The system automatically CANCELS orders that are not paid within two weeks, after which, the plate is fair game for someone else to order.
